Trainer Blog: Dynamics ERP classroom training in Italy

As a business, we’ve been supporting a global IT consulting and distribution business with their Dynamics AX 2012 training since late 2016. This huge ERP rollout has seen us develop and deliver training solutions in various locations. The latest phase of the project involved the new technology being introduced in Italy, where the country HQ is set in the wonderfully scenic northern city of Bolzano, nestled among vineyards in the foothills of the Italian Alps not far from the Austrian border.

Via a flight to Verona and a train connection across to Bolzano, I spent a fortnight delivering AX 2012 finance training to the 7 members of the Finance team. These included General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Fixed Assets courses, which were hugely successful – thankfully the delegates’ grasp of English far exceeded my understanding of Italian! During my time there the Finance team showed me around their beautiful city and treated me to the fantastic cuisine of northern Italy, which blends traditional Italian staples such as pizza and pasta with the very different traditional foods of nearby Austria.

The delegates all understood and coped with the business change incredibly well, as demonstrated in the positive feedback left following our delivery. I’m looking forward to returning for the final round of training, and hopefully spending a weekend hiking up one of the surrounding mountains.
