Trainer Blog: Global D365 and Salesforce training delivery

I had a great start to 2020 delivering end-user training to support a client implementing Microsoft D365 and Salesforce Lightning globally, with the initial go lives in the EMEA and APAC regions. Optimum have been involved in the project since May 2019 and I had travelled along with other Optimum consultants to Los Angeles last summer to meet the project team as part of the training development. The project involved numerous workstreams with complex business processes, multiple-implementation partners and varying training requirements across the regions and areas of the business.

I worked closely with the Product Management team with input from SMEs in the UK, US and Asia. It was great to be part of a this global project and work with key stakeholders across multiple continents to ensure we provided effective training and supporting documentation for all end-users.

The first leg of classroom training was delivered in London, France and Germany before the Optimum team travelled to Penang, Malaysia. Our hosts in Malaysia were incredibly welcoming and treated us to some amazing food; we even managed to squeeze in a trip to the beach and a local sea turtle conservation site. The end-users were very receptive to training and our client went live with both business systems as planned earlier today. It’s great to have been involved in another successful outcome and I look forward to supporting the next go live and training delivery in the US and China later this year!
