Project overview
  • Microsoft D365 implementation for a global electronic test and measurement equipment.
  • Training materials included reference guides, quick cards, eLearning and trainer packs.
  • 40 internal subject matter experts were up-skilled to deliver training in a professional and consistent manner.
  • Client also implemented SalesForce Lightning and CPQ.

Electro Rent contracted Optimum to facilitate their transition from two legacy systems to Microsoft Dynamics 365 and SalesForce Lightning and CPQ. With multiple locations across the US, EMEA, and Asia, they needed a solution that would enable all regions to implement the same universal business processes.

The roll-out included core functions such as Lead to Order, Operations, Product to Purchase, Customer care and Billing, and additional functionality for Finance.

"We are delighted to have supported another large D365 implementation with a bespoke end-user training programme."

Joanne Harrison Optimum Sales Director

The Challenge:

The client required an ambitious roll-out schedule for offices across multiple continents, with processes that would not be cemented until late in the timeline.

Two organizations were merging into one, which lead to combining drastically different practices into one global business process, with individual regional localisations.

The Solution:

In order to meet the client’s needs, Optimum sent consultants to offices across the US, Europe, and Asia.

They helped the client define their global processes and produced training material including reference guides, quick cards, eLearning modules, and trainer packs.

All training deliverables were translated into regional languages where needed. 40 internal subject matter experts were up-skilled to deliver training in a professional and consistent manner.

Notably, Optimum successfully delivered training on schedule, despite sudden travel bans caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, by switching seamlessly from in-person to remote training. Remote training programmes were not typical at that time, but Optimum demonstrated flexibility and creativity in its agile approach.
