The International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), a global non-profit organisation, has appointed the IT skills consultancy, Optimum, to design its Unit4 (U4) ERP end-user training programme.

IFAW works to protect vulnerable animals and marine life across the planet. With offices in 15 countries, the organisation is implementing U4 as its worldwide financial ERP system, as well as introducing it to the wider business to manage donors, awards and projects.

For the first time, every person in the organisation will have access to U4 in some form, meaning significant change in terms of new business processes. IFAW has engaged Optimum to ensure that the wide-ranging user groups all have the right level of professional, job-specific training, from top level finance down to making an expenses claim.

"We're delighted to be partnering with IFAW, creating and delivering a market leading user adoption programme for their Unit4 ERP implementation. Our experienced team has supported over 350 Unit4 projects over the years and are excited to get started."

Joanne Harrison Optimum Director

The bespoke training programme includes a full suite of materials tailored to the different audiences. The training is being delivered in a collaborative approach. For example, IFAW SMEs will train the small groups who have been heavily involved with UAT, using the reference guides produced by Optimum. For larger groups, Optimum is supplementing its training materials with trainer packs to ensure the messaging and delivery is consistent.

IFAW is headquartered in the USA and Optimum’s team of consultants is developing the complex training programme remotely, adjusting their working hours to accommodate the time difference.
