WHAT WE DO

Training deliverables to suit all ERP end users

Optimum offer a wide variety of different training deliverables. Three of these are traditional training materials/handouts: quick cards for short processes, comprehensive reference guides, and trainer packs to ensure consistent ERP training delivery.

The other five are digital eLearning formats: interactive ERP training modules, tutorial videos, quick videos and conceptual videos, as well as our newest offering, digital self-learn.

All of the training materials developed and completely unique to each client, incorporating any brand requirements, all business process content and utilising the customised build of the ERP system. We are not just showing end users how to navigate around the screen and select options, but instead why to select them, providing users with a wider understanding of the impact on the rest of the business if specific steps are not completed.

WHAT ARE THE OPTIONS

The materials we develop

We provide bespoke training programmes utilising a wide variety of different deliverables, depending on each user group. Here are a few of the types of materials we develop.

Reference guides are comprehensive user guides / manuals, incorporating step-by-step business processes to ensure best practices are known and followed. Optimum develops bespoke reference guides which allow for detailed explanation of both function and process, with graphical illustrations relating to your system build.

They have a table of contents for easy navigation and can be hosted online and/or provided in hard copy. Process flow diagrams are also included to demonstrate a start-to-finish process indicating to the user their role within the process. Reference guides are designed in accordance with the client’s brand guidelines.

A trainer pack is helpful in ensuring consistency of delivery, especially when there are multiple trainers assigned to a project. A trainer pack consists of the following elements:

Lesson plan: developed for the course and used by the trainer, ensuring consistency in the delivery. This contains timings, tips/tricks on flow and how to introduce topics.

PowerPoint slide deck: a PowerPoint presentation to kick-start the session.

Consolidation exercises: the classroom session will consolidate the user’s understanding of a topic through consolidation exercises.

Data setup: this is a list of data required for the delivery of the course.

These are useful for frequently used and simple processes and are created as double-sided A4 cards, covering the essential elements of a process and made readily available to users. They are graphically appealing and easy to follow without being too busy.

If the amount of information required is too large for a single quick card, multiple quick cards can be created so information is not lost.

They are designed in accordance with the client’s brand guidelines and are popular with audiences who have limited time and want easy-to-use instructions.

A typical audience for this type of deliverable would be light-touch warehouse team members who need to find user instructions on how to carry out a function on a handheld device.

We are experts in creating high quality eLearning for all system applications, offering four digital learning options:

Interactive eLearning modules are built to require the learner to input and interact with the learning. This is achieved through system simulation, exercises and quizzes.

Our SCORM-compliant interactive eLearning will be exported in HTML5 ready to deploy via your internal intranet or LMS. The raw Articulate files will also be included where required.

Tutorial videos require no user interaction and allow the demonstration of a process to be completed on screen along with an optional audio commentary.

Quick videos are similar to tutorials but with less detail and instruction. They also provide a passive demonstration of a process, accompanied by audio commentary and background music.

Concept videos are light-hearted videos used to give a general understanding of a topic, module or workstream to a wide-audience. These are informal, visually captivating, animations which are ideal for businesses with a large number of new users or processes.

All videos will be provided in MP4 format.

The learner will need to complete the self-paced lessons in order to become familiar and proficient with the relevant concepts and content. The eLearning will be made up of different elements including, embedded videos demonstrating system functionality, interactive activities, quizzes, text, and images.

Optimum develop Digital Self-Learn modules using Articulate Rise. All colours, logos, and themes would be customised to incorporate the client’s branding.
