Bringing people and technology together
Optimum’s approach to user training for business systems will help ensure that your organisation realises the full value from a new system implementation or major upgrade. Business transformation can be significantly improved through effective user training. If users are not fully prepared for change, the system implementation project may fail to deliver your original business objectives.
Optimum has extensive experience of developing and delivering training for a range of business systems including finance, e-procurement and e-expenses, HR and payroll, CRM and document management, across many industry sectors. This extends to tailored training programmes for industry-specific or bespoke systems such as insurance, housing management, care / case management, environmental management and retail. Utilising Optimum’s specialist skills will ensure you get lasting value from your user training.
Specialist user training to make change happen
Professional project management ensures hassle-free control of the training programme.
Experienced training team works closely with your system implementation team providing professional training expertise to bridge the gap between the system build and the end-users.
Training materials are customised to cover the new system build and your specific business processes so that it is relevant to the users. The client has full use of these materials for ongoing training requirements.
Training methods are varied, as appropriate to the user and the client, and your training team will be experienced in delivering classroom style, WebEx demonstrations, e-learning modules and more. They will ensure that your training solutions will be successful, cost effective and provide lasting value.
A proven methodology
Define the objectives and constraints of the programme with the support of a qualified project manager. Identify the users that require training, the business processes, what needs to be communicated and the structure of the training team.
Design a training programme utilising the most effective learning options which could include workshops, presentations, e-learning tools plus any necessary supporting materials and documentation.
Develop the training programme, taking into account specific business processes. The deliverables such as the training guides, lesson plans, exercises, e-learning content, presentations, awareness and marketing materials will be created. These will then be reviewed against the relevant business processes. The training environment, administration and evaluation processes are also developed.
Deliver the training programme. Courseware is produced and distributed and the training programme commences. This may be delivered by Optimum’s training specialists or by the client’s in-house training team or a combination of both. Attendance and feedback data is collected at this stage.
Debrief on the effectiveness of the programme. The training process is reviewed and any required changes are incorporated into the training plan for the benefit of future phases or projects. A handover plan is created which will include the training documentation if the programme is to be continued and maintained internally by the client. Alternatively ongoing new user training and post implementation requirements can continue to be supported by Optimum.
