HR & Payroll

Effective Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) provide an integrated, secure record of all employee data, whilst reducing administration and supporting strategic human capital management. Meetings, reviews and training development can be recorded and linked to document management systems in order to create a comprehensive staff record. The payroll functionality covers the definition of employee payments and deductions, pay rates and allowances, as well as the calculation of gross and net pay, and statutory reporting.

Optimum has worked with a range of HR systems, including SAP, Agresso, Taleo, PeopleSoft and HR.net. Particuarly with HR systems, integration with finance, payroll and Learning & Development or Talent Management is fundmantal, meaning end-users need to interact with systems for a number of different functions. Optimum's solutions to suit HR and payroll implementations and upgrades have included:

• Hands-on, practical training courses with supportive materials such as comprehensive reference guides covering key functionality for each user group (e.g. personnel registration, maternity leave, running enquiries and archiving documentation securely)

• eLearning modules for anytime, anywhere learning. Key work processes are separated into bitesized lessons, which users can interact with and test their knowledge. This is a particuarly useful solution for organisations with many part-time members of staff or new joiners, as the training is flexible and can be hosted on a company drive or an Optimum-managed portal.

Recruitment and Talent Management

Recruitment software facilitates applicant tracking and candidate management, allowing organisations to manage and record applications and assessments prior to selection and placement.

Talent Management software helps organisations to place the right people in the right roles using powerful data analysis. In the long term the system supports staff retention by managing development activities and reward schemes.

Optimum's training consultants have recently supported the deployment of Taleo's Recruiting and Talent Management software, helping the end-using organisation to get the most value out of their investment in new hiring procedures. This was developed through:

• Preparation of tailored, role-based training documentation, which helped HR and recruitment staff acquire the knowledge to effectively input and record the correct information into the Taleo software.
   
• Train the trainer courses run by our accredited training consultants, which equipped the in-house teams with the right skills to be able to deliver an effective training course to the end-users.
